Data Collection
OpenGraph Preview does not collect any data. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Personal information
- Browsing history
- Page content
- Usage analytics
- Crash reports
- Any other data
How the Extension Works
When you click the extension icon, OpenGraph Preview reads the meta tags from the current page to display social media previews. This process:
- Runs entirely in your browser
- Does not send data to any external server
- Does not store any information after you close the panel
- Only accesses the page when you actively click the icon
Permissions
The extension requests the following permissions:
- activeTab – To read meta tags from the current page when you click the icon
- scripting – To extract OpenGraph and Twitter Card meta tags from the page
- sidePanel – To display previews in Chrome's side panel
- Host permissions – To work on any website, including localhost for development
These permissions are used solely to provide the extension's functionality and are never used to collect or transmit data.
Third-Party Services
OpenGraph Preview does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.

Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Given that we don't collect any data, significant changes are unlikely.
